Hawzah News Agency – The book, to be translated into multiple languages, picks up on two open letters penned by Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the wake of a rise in terrorist attacks in 2015, among them the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris, which fueled Islamophobia in the West.
In those letters, circulated widely online, Ayatollah Khamenei urged western youth not to believe prejudiced portrayals of Islam by western mainstream media or people in power, but to keep an open mind and judge the Muslim faith fairly:
More than anything, Professor Shakespeare’s book is an economist’s view on some of the biggest issues facing humanity from the vices of capitalism to climate injustice, and whether Islam is the answer. The final chapter, envisages the makeup of a true Islamic economy.
